Bronze Medal finish in Langton!
Generals skate to Bronze
The St. George Generals Bantam LL team skated to a third place finish in Langton over the weekend. Saturday started early for the boys - two losses to the home teams a tough way to start (although the second game was a thriller!). Sunday started with a 2-2 tie with Tillsonburg, thanks to a last minute wrap-around by Ashton Newell. This set up a rematch with Tilsonburg for the bronze game - the boys quickly jumped to a 2-0 lead, but Tillsonburg tied it up and was pressing for more. Then our boys took control, with Jamie Weidhaas scoring his first of the season to start things going - 5 more goals later, we celebrated with a 8-2 win.
