Novice Rep - President Cup Champions!
The Novice Rep team are Champions of the Presidents Cup!
The team earned its way into Monday's Championship of the Presidents Cup in Niagara Falls NY USA with wins over the Niagara Ice Hawks and Cleveland's Mentor Cardinals. The Generals only loss (3-1) came against the AAA West Seneca Wings which set-up a rematch in the Tournaments Championship this afternoon.
The team came out flying and focused - never looking back as they put up 7 unanswered goals before the final buzzer and a dominant 7-2 Championship Win.
The final game capped off an impressive run for the the team which included a tournament best 20GF and 5GA with Hudson Delaney recording his second shut-out of the season during an 8-0 win against the Cardinals.
The players are looking forward to adding the Championship Plaque to the St. George hardware case in the arena lobby.
The coaches and parents are very proud of this teams accomplishments both during this tournament victory and throughout the year. The coaches goals at the beginning of the year was to bring together a great group of talented players with excellent character and determination to develop. This latest accomplishment reinforces the idea that a small group of dedicated players and families can achieve great things.
