Local League Tournament Great Success
Submitted By Dan Phillips on Monday, November 19, 2018
We finished a great weekend of hockey in St George with the completion of the Earl Gaukel Memorial PW, Bantam and Midget Local League Tournament. A total of 30 teams, nearly 500 players from Belle River to Nepean and other parts of the Province made their way to St George this past weekend giving us a great weekend of hockey and a successful tournament. Congratulations to John Johnstone who

spearheaded a successful tournament and the Local League parents who organized raffle tables, bake good sales and volunteers . Many positive compliments were received regarding our arena, the level of organization and efforts made by everyone. On Sunday the tournament was concluded with three great Championship games and we were fortunate to have members of the Gaukel family on hand to help out with the presentation of the tournament trophies.

Thanks to all the teams, parents officials and volunteers who made it a very successful weekend.
