2019-20 Coaching Announcement
As the hockey season was winding down, the Executive have already been working on plans for next year.  We are very excited to be able to announce the following coaches for the 2019/2020 season!

Minor Novice (Tyke) Rep – Ryand Campbell
Ryand has been assisting with coaching our Sr IP’s and is excited to move into the head coach for Minor Novice.  He is planning on continuing the Tyke standard that was set this year with planned, structured, and well thought out practices.  Ryand is going to focus on fun, teamwork, hard work, positivity and development.

Novice Rep - Kevin Beatty
Kevin has been coaching our younger players over the last couple years and most recently was our Tyke coach.  He has been busy building a strong coaching culture at the lower levels though weekly “Coaching Corners” to develop training plans for the whole team and individual players.  His knowledge of the game will be valuable as the Novice group transitions into full ice competitive play, through the season.   He is committed to ensuring that players are having fun, working hard and developing their skills.

Atom Rep – Rob Parker
Rob is not a new face to St. George.  This past year he has been assistant coach for the General’s Midget Rep team but prefers the younger age groups.  Rob is excited to coach our Atom team as it is a fun age to see the huge learning curve that they go through at this level.  A big emphasis will be on team play and building a strong culture but having fun will be priority #1!

PeeWee Rep – Mark Telewiak
Mark is a seasoned hockey coach who is joining us from the Cambridge Minor Hockey association.  We have been fortunate to have Mark’s assistance over the last year helping John Johnstone and the PeeWee Local League team, and his interest in transitioning to coaching the Rep team.  Mark’s approach is that success is more than wins and losses, it is about learning and developing the skills for success and the scoreboard will take care of itself.

Bantam Rep – John Collings
John comes to us from the Brantford 99ers where he has experience helping coach the Minor Bantam AAA team.   His face will be familiar as he has enjoyed watching many of this year’s Atom and Bantam home games. He cannot wait to come be part of our community and is looking to create a close-knit team that has fun and is always “game ready”.

Midget LL – Ray Burtis
Ray is just coming off of a great season with our Midget LL team and is very excited to continue with this group of players next year!

We are still looking for applicants for the following teams:  Novice LL, Atom LL, PeeWee LL and Bantam LL.  If you are interested in one of these positions, please contact Dan Phillips.
