Midget Rep, U18, 2017-2018 (St. George Minor Hockey)

Congrats to Kyle Curtin, a St George native and product of the St George Minor Hockey system for getting drafted in the 2nd Round in the OHL U-18 Priority Draft to the Peterborough Petes. Kyle played with the St George Novice LL and all the way up to the Peewee Reps and along the way he helped the St George Generals win an OMHA Championship in Atom and International Silverstick Championship in Peewee, where he was nominated to the All-star team. All the best Kyle!

The Midget Reps finished a successful year winning the Southern Counties B Championship in Cayuga over the Burford Coyotes by a score of 4 to 2.  It was a strong team effort by all players as the Generals were missing three key players, with Brandon Cripps having a monster game scoring four goals but more impressively back-checking hard late in the third period to break up a 2 on 0 rush.  The team finished the year strongly going 8 and 2 in their final ten games. St. George's Myles Maloney will play for the Canadian men's under-18 team Rugby team later this month when it travels to Hong Kong for three games. This past winter, Myles has been tending net for the St. George Midget Reps while also training with the Canadian National U-18 Rugby Team.  This is an amazing accomplishment and the team wants to wish Myles the best as he represents our Country!

Congrats to the St. George Midget Reps who travelled to Port Dover, and after losing their first game, won their next three including a 4.0 win in the Consolation Final against a strong Dunnville squad.  The MIDGET Generals also had the lowest penalty minutes of the eight teams, and their 3.1 record was tied as best with two other teams.
